Comment recruteurs et managers consid\u00e8rent-ils les candidatures des jeunes et comment le crit\u00e8re de l\u2019\u00e2ge intervient-il dans la m\u00e9canique de la s\u00e9lection \u00e0 l\u2019embauche&nbsp;? L\u2019ouvrage de Yamina Meziani, nourri d\u2019enqu\u00eates collectives dans diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9gions et secteurs d\u2019activit\u00e9, ainsi que de ses investigations dans le secteur public depuis 2010, tente de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si \u00ab&nbsp;recruter, c\u2019est discriminer&nbsp;\u00bb, comme le rappelle le sociologue Fran\u00e7ois Dubet en ouverture de sa pr\u00e9face, il s\u2019agit d\u2019\u00e9clairer les logiques d\u2019action des recruteurs aux prises avec les nouvelles directives de \u00ab&nbsp;diversit\u00e9&nbsp;\u00bb. Il s\u2019av\u00e8re, au fil des pages et des observations, que les m\u00e9tiers du recrutement \u00e9voluent, face aux jeunes, vers une combinaison de postures plurielles, bien souvent adoss\u00e9es \u00e0 des st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes. Au c\u0153ur de ces pratiques d\u2019\u00e9valuation, il existe bel et bien des figures du bon jeune (l\u2019employable) et du mauvais jeune (l\u2019inemployable). Yamina, l\u2019universitaire, souhaite laisser trace litt\u00e9raire. En m\u00eame temps que, par transmutation, elle donnait silhouette et corps \u00e0 ces femmes sur sc\u00e8ne, elle voulait aussi op\u00e9rer une m\u00e9tamorphose de discours\u2026 Afin que leur parole multiple ne soit pas un \u00e9ni\u00e8me constat sociologique quasimuet de leurs douleurs et difficult\u00e9s \u2014 dont on se d\u00e9tourne \u2014, mais devienne embl\u00e9matique, historique, lancinante, incontournable.
